The pop icon, Selena Gomez has everyone in complete awe as she decided to unhide the permanent scar mark she got in the wake of her kidney transplant. The singer has garnered attention and loads of praise from media, fans, and fellow celebrities.

One of Selena’s lauders is also there in the royal clan. Princess Eugenie has expressed her appreciation for Gomez’s approach towards body pride.

Princess Eugenie, who is expecting her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank, took to her Instagram story to discuss body pride. The royal, 30, shared photos and stories of some of her followers’ scars post-surgery to give a message of contentment, honesty, and body acceptance. One of the pictures she posted was Selena Gomez’s recently posted picture on Instagram where she can be seen showing off a scar on one of her thighs.

In her post, Princess Eugenie said that Selena’s decision to open about the scar she got from surgery is a statement of how confident she really is.

Selena Gomez, in her post, had highlighted that she had initially tried to hide her mark during photoshoots, but then she thought it was her uniqueness which should be communicated with people who are going to something similar. About that Eugenie wrote, “Let’s be proud of our uniqueness.”

Just a few days back, Selena had posted a picture and slipped in a thoughtful message for her fans, followers, and people everywhere.

Her original caption reads, “When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar.  I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through…and I’m proud of that.”

The “I Can’t Get Enough” hitmaker further added on to say that it is a means for her to relate to people who have got through surgeries that have left a permanent scar on their bodies – and she can communicate with them to encourage them to accept and rejoice their reality and uniqueness.

Two weeks back, Princess Eugenie announced she had a bun in the oven. Eugenie’s child will be the first newborn after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archie who was born in 2019 an is now living in America with his parents. The royal climate is on a way to positive change.
