Meghan Markle would reportedly be the wealthiest among the members of the British Royal Family if they were all non-royals. This is said to be based solely on the respective degrees they obtained from the universities they attended.

Express UK reported that the conclusions have emerged from Erudera’s recent research. In its study, it found out that the Duchess of Sussex would likely take home an annual average salary of about $47,924.

As noted, the former working royal has a degree in Theater and International Relations from Northwestern University in Illinois. She graduated in 2003, obtaining a double major.

Erudera’s study found Prince Charles comes in second to Meghan Markle. Based on the results, he would be the second wealthiest member of the family based on his degree, if he was not a royal.

The other British Royals who made it to the list include Kate Middleton, Prince William, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Prince Edward.

The study later noted that members of the royal family who are absent from its list are those who do not have a university degree.

A separate report from Express UK named some of them, and the list includes Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, a different study previously concluded that Meghan Markle is also the “most intelligent” member of the British Royal Family.

Express UK explained that the conclusions were based on the “quality of the academic institution” the royals attended during their university years. It noted that Oxford Royale conducted the research, wherein they analyzed the QS World University Rankings.

Considering that the Duchess of Sussex attended Northwestern University in Illinois, and the institution takes the 30th spot in the rankings, the study reportedly concluded that she ranks above all the members of the British Royal Family.

The University of St. Andrew’s was said to have followed suit, making it the “second-best institution attended by a British Royal” in the research. Accordingly, Prince William and Kate Middleton come in next after Meghan Markle on the study’s list.

Following the results of the material, a spokesperson for Oxford Royale spoke to the publication and commented on the matter.

The rep said that the Duchess of Sussex is “an unashamedly brilliant woman.” As added, “her refusal to remain silent on complex, controversial issues… is a testament to her intelligence and academic pedigree.”

The outlet later quoted the spokesperson, saying, “Not only has Meghan had a successful career as an actress, but she also completed a degree in one of the most complex and rigorous subjects available… at a top academic institution.”
