Prince Charles felt “thrilled” and “honored” to walk Meghan Markle down the aisle. But, she allegedly had an “unusual” request to the royal-born Prince for the day of her wedding.

The allegations came from royal commentator Neil Sean. He explained what reportedly went down between the Duchess of Sussex and the Prince of Wales on his YouTube channel, according to Express UK.

The expert claimed that the future King did not mind escorting the former actress down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. He stated that Prince Harry was the one who asked his father to do the honor.

However, Meghan Markle allegedly requested Prince Charles to “meet her halfway” instead of escorting her from the starting point of the aisle.

This is claimed to have “raised [the] eyebrows” of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. It also reportedly led people to realize that the former “Suits” actress was “going to be difficult.”

The publication later quoted Sean speaking about the alleged request, saying, “This is because she wanted the focus to be on her.” He adds, “...for the world’s cameras to let us see that she was a strong independent woman, and of course, doing things her own way.”

The royal commentator also reportedly told his viewers that the Prince of Wales is “looking back over that particular period,” adding that “he should have known exactly what was around the corner.”

Following the allegations, though, no proof has come to light to verify the story. Accordingly, the claims will remain speculative at best unless otherwise stated.
