More than a year has passed since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. But, it continues to make headlines, with experts recently revealing what Prince William had reportedly felt about it.

Tina Brown, who authored “The Palace Papers,” alleged that the Duke of Cambridge felt “utterly disgusted,” according to Express UK. She even added that “it was such a shame” after learning what the former working royals told the famed television host earlier in 2021.

The royal author continued that the relationship between the two royal-born Princes was described to her as “civil.” She consequently noted that the word is “palace courtier for what the rest of [the public] would refer to as frosty.”

Another royal author previously shared similar assertions about Prince William, particularly the royal’s thoughts about the Oprah interview.

Writing in his book, “William at 40: The Making of a Modern Monarch,” Robert Jobson pointed out some details of the “fall-out” between the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex from the tell-all interview. He asserted that the latter’s comments “infuriated” the former, adding that the future King was left “staggered.”

Express UK quoted some of the statements from the book, with the author alleging, “[Prince William] was also staggered by his brother’s claim that [he] and Charles were ‘trapped’ by their roles, and ‘do not get to leave.’”

Jobson continues, “Far from feeling tapped, William told friends, he now fully embraced and understood the path laid out before him.”

Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey during the interview that his father and brother are “trapped” in the British Royal Family.

CNN later quoted him, saying, “It is a very trapping environment that a lot of them are stuck in.”

In the same engagement, the Duke of Sussex also noted that he could not have left his royal post had he not met the Duchess of Sussex. He stated that he was “trapped,” although he did not know it at first.

The royal-born Prince later added that his relatives “do not get to leave” as they are “trapped within the system.” He consequently told Winfrey that he has “huge compassion for that.”

Despite the claims and allegations, it remains unclear how things have been between Prince William and Prince Harry behind closed doors since the bombshell interview. But, The Times learned that the two royal-born Princes had “no personal interaction” when the Sussexes returned to the United Kingdom for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

As claimed, the Duke of Cambridge did not spend any time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during their stay in the country. It reportedly suggested that a “deep rift” still exists between the royal siblings.
