Ivana Trump, the first wife of the former POTUS Donald Trump, died at age 73.

The former president first confirmed the news through his Truth Social account. He revealed that she died at her New York City Home on East 64th Street.

"She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!" he said, as quoted by Deadline.

The Trump family also sent a separate statement to ABC News, but it still did not disclose Ivana Trump's cause of death.

In the message, the bereaved loved ones called the late matriarch an "incredible woman" who did a lot of things in her lifetime. They also called her a survivor who taught her children compassion and determination, among other things.

Although both statements did not talk about what led to Trump's death, it was reported by several news outlets that she died of cardiac arrest. It was also noted that she died of natural causes.

The New York Times reported that officials said there was no sign of forced entry at the home and her death appeared to be accidental.

Meanwhile, according to New York Post, police are investigating whether Ivana may have fallen down the stairs at her home. Police sources said she was found at the bottom of the staircase and believed to have suffered cardiac arrest.

The city’s Medical Examiner’s Office will determine her official cause of death.

Ivana Trump Found Unconscious Before Death Announcement

The New York City Fire Department's paramedics reportedly responded to a call about a woman who suffered a cardiac arrest on Thursday, at 12:30 p.m. local time.

They immediately went to the building where she lived. Per ABC News, Trump was found unconscious and unresponsive at the bottom of the stairs of her apartment.

Currently, authorities are looking into whether she fell from it or if it contributed to her death. The probe might also determine if she suffered a heart attack before or after falling down if that was what happened.

Meanwhile, another news outlet noted that her son, Eric, told the media after walking out of the Manhattan home that it was a very sad day for the family.

Ivana and Donald Trump were married for 15 years from 1977 to 1992. Their relationship scored a global spotlight, especially after the former POTUS' affair with Marla Maples became public.

Before their divorce, she became a top executive at the Trump Organization and worked on his hotels and casinos. When he purchased Plaza Hotel, the late matriarch managed it and added it to her list of works.

After divorcing the former POTUS, she married businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli in 1995 but divorced two years later. In 2008, she married Rossano Rubicondi through a highly-publicized ceremony at Mar-a-Lago.

Like her previous marriage, it was short-lived. Still, they continued to have a relationship in the years since then.
