While many celebrities had a difficult year for various reasons, including the ongoing pandemic, Chrissy Teigen dealt with pregnancy issues. However, the 35-year-old model's miscarriage was not the only issue she faced this year. The cookbook author opened up on her Instagram about why she gave up drinking.

Teigen admitted that it had been a month that she hasn't sipped a glass of alcohol and being sober. The model is currently vacationing in St. Barts with her husband, John Legend, along with her children. The couple shares two children, Miles Theodore Stephens, who is two-year-old and daughter Luna Simone Stephens, who is four-year-old.

As we entered the new year, the former swimsuit model revealed that she was tired of drinking too much. She confessed to drinking during the daytime on regular basis and noted in her Instagram stories that it was something she always wanted to get rid of.

Teigen explained that she had made an a-- of her in front of many people while she is still embarrassed about those incidents. However, the model didn't disclose those incidents in her stories yet. Moreover, she admitted that she used to feel like s--t by the end of the evening, and since then, she had stayed sober.

She shared a book's cover on her social media titled Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol by Holly Whitaker and said that it was gifted to her by a friend and her doctor.

Teigen further explained that even if her followers don't wish to stay sober like her, they should at least read the book once. Legend and Teigen experienced a major loss in form of miscarriage in September.

The model was expecting her third baby, and the pregnancy loss was announced during her second trimester. She ensured that the fans stayed updated about each and every step of her recovery process through social media.

In fact, Teigen also opened up about her depression on social media and assured her fans and followers on social media that she will be alright soon. She mentioned being surrounded by her loved ones, who always take care of her during a difficult time.

"I’m not tweeting much because I’m honestly in a bit of a grief depression hole but do not worry as I have so much help around me to get better, and I’ll be fixed soon," she confessed.
