Tom Hanks is one of those rare actors who take their characters to the next level. The 64-year-old actor didn't fail to surprise his fans as he revealed his new look for the highly anticipated biopic of Elvis Presley. The movie has been titled Elvis, and it is set to release at the end of 2021.

Hanks appeared on The Graham Norton Show virtually and opened up about his new look in the film. The actor joked about not being thrilled enough with his new hairstyle while he is portraying Colonel Tom Parker, who was Elvis Presley's manager in real life.

In Baz Luhrmann's biopic, Hanks will be seen completely bald while he kept some hair on both the sides of his head. The actor is currently located in Australia, where the film is being shot, and showed the bald head through the video call.

The actor addressed his new look as a “horrible haircut” and said that he had to carry this look for the sake of portraying the popular manager in Hollywood. He asked the host to check out the horrible look properly and then jokingly apologized for showing the look and scaring the little kids.

"What I really want to do is just have a little tuft of hair right here and then a big, big beard, and then everybody would think I'm Graham Norton!" Hanks joked about the creators trying to make him look like a British host.

The 57-year-old Irish television presenter also continued the joke and gave permission to the actor for playing him in a film. Although Hanks had a perfect comeback to the host, he said that he portrays only "real people" on the screen, who worked in the entertainment business.

However, this is not the first time the actor appeared completely bald in front of the camera. Hanks made his first appearance on the Saturday Night Live show following his return to television after being contracted to COVID-19.

In fact, Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are the first celebrity couple who got contracted with the coronavirus. The couple was shooting for the same biopic in Australia when they first felt feverish in March.

The couple admitted that they had no clue about the virus as it was in an initial stage. They said they were kept separately but in the same hospital. The doctors were also learning about the virus while treating them.
