Princess Diana was likened to an exhausted boxer by her former bodyguard, Lee Sansum.

Sansum was hired by Dodi Al Fayed’s dad, Mohamed Al Fayed to protect Princess Diana and her sons when they traveled to St. Tropez years ago.

He said that before Princess Diana died, her mental state wasn’t that well. Sansum noticed that the Princess of Wales was exhausted with everything that’s been going on in her life.

The former bodyguard likened Princess Diana’s demeanor to that of an exhausted boxer. He said that when a fighter is knocked down for the last time and they’re just done was exactly what his former boss was like back then.

Sansum also supports the ongoing inquest into Princess Diana’s interview with Martin Bashir. He said that it seems the mom of two was battered into submission by the journalist who asked her about her relationship with Prince Charles.

During her interview with Panorama, Princess Diana said that there were three of them in her marriage. The statement was in reference to Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ affair.

Sansum said that he feels Princess Diana was screwed over so badly. And it’s only right for Princess Diana’s family to push through with their investigations.

Meanwhile, Princess Diana’s interview with Bashir aired in 1995 when Prince William and Prince Harry were just 15 and 13, respectively.

While speaking with Mirror UK, royal historian and biographer Robert Lacey revealed that Prince William wept while watching the interview because something inside of him snapped.

Lacey expanded on his revelation in his book, Battle of Brothers. He said that Prince William’s friends saw him in the middle of a mini-breakdown after watching Princess Diana’s interview.

Prince William recently said that the investigations are a step in the right direction for the sake of his late mother. Even though he has not made amends with Prince Harry, they’re on the same page when it comes to protecting the late royal.

A source told Harper’s Bazaar that Prince Harry is aware of the ongoing investigations over Princess Diana’s 1995 interview. He’s also getting regular updates from sources.

The insider also accused the tabloids of driving a wedge between him and Prince William when they claimed that they’re not on the same page with regards to the ongoing investigations.

A source close to the Duke of Sussex said that the tabloid’s remarks are offensive and horrid.
