Meghan Markle, allegedly, laughed at Princess Beatrice’s wedding dress and a tiara because she’s jealous.

According to Woman’s Day, the Duchess of Sussex still hasn’t gotten over the fact that Queen Elizabeth lent her own gown to Princess Beatrice. The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson also wore a tiara from the queen’s collection.

Two years ago, Markle, allegedly, asked permission from the queen if she could use her emerald green tiara, but the monarch refused. Instead, the queen gave Markle a tiara that she wanted her to wear.

A few years have passed and Markle still hasn’t gotten over what the queen did to her. And the fact that she allowed Princess Beatrice to wear her own dress didn’t, allegedly, sit well with Prince Harry’s wife.

Initially, Markle didn’t know that Princess Beatrice’s dress was from the queen. After seeing photos from the royal wedding, the Suits alum, allegedly, laughed at Princess Beatrice’s attire because it didn’t look like a wedding gown.

“Apparently, Meghan immediately picked on the dress – without knowing its historic significance – saying it was the least bridal-looking gown she’d ever seen,” the source said.

When other people told Markle where Princess Beatrice’s dress came from, she still didn’t budge.

“Rather than backtracking when it was revealed that the queen had allowed Beatrice to borrow her own gown and make alterations to it, Meghan got even more jealous. She has a real chip on her shoulder over more senior members of the royal family, and it shows at times like this,” the source said.

The source also said that when Markle first joined the royal family, she had an expectation that she would be the queen’s favorite. However, this didn’t turn out to be the case.

Princess Beatrice’s wedding gown was designed by Norman Hartnell and it was first worn by the queen in 1962. Back then, Her Majesty attended the London film premiere of Lawrence of Arabia.

“Beatrice’s bond with her grandmother has only strengthened since the troubles with her dad Prince Andrew. The queen respects her kindness, calmness, and poise, and was keen to make a big fuss of her for her wedding as a way of showing her appreciation. That’s how you get what you want with Her Majesty, not by being demanding,” a source said.

Princess Beatrice also wore a tiara that was also worn by the queen at her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947.
