Princess Beatrice tied the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on Friday morning with only 20 guests.

According to USA Today, the union of the royal couple took place at Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Princess Eugenie, and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot in 2018.

In attendance were Princess Beatrice’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. As well as her grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank were also present. However, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle didn’t make it to the royal wedding due to the travel restrictions in place between the United States and the United Kingdom.

According to People, the queen had to leave the wedding ceremony early to attended the knighting of Captain Tom Moore. The 100-year-old was given the special honor after he raised millions for NHS charities during the coronavirus pandemic.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi were scheduled to tie the knot on May 29. However, they had to cancel their royal wedding due to COVID-19. They were also supposed to tie the knot at St. James’s Palace in London and their reception was supposed to be held at the queen’s garden at Buckingham Palace.

But because of the deadly virus, Princess Beatrice and Mozzi decided to change their plans. Their wedding was held at Windsor Castle, which was very near to where the queen and Prince Philip were quarantining in.

Now that the couple is legally married, Princess Beatrice is expected to be a stepmom to Mozzi’s son, Wolfie. A friend of Princess Beatrice told the publication that Princess Beatrice has embraced Wolfie as a part of their life at the start of her relationship with Mozzi.

“Edo is easily one of the best dads, he is so involved, and Beatrice is already showing that she’s a fantastic step-mommy,” the friend said.

Prior to the couple’s royal wedding, tabloids claimed that Princess Beatrice and Mozzi will be tying the knot in the United States. After all, the coronavirus safety measures in the country are allegedly less strict than in the United Kingdom.

Other tabloids claimed that there was a possibility for the royal couple to wed in Italy because this is where Mozzi was from. However, the claims have been proven to be incorrect.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi dated for a few years before they got engaged. And after they announced their engagement, Mozzi penned a touching tribute to Princess Beatrice.

“You will never be alone my love, my heart is your home. Hand in hand, today, tomorrow, and forever,” he wrote on social media.
