Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are, allegedly, begging Prince Charles not to cut them off financially.

Since they are not working members of the royal family, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie do not receive funding from Queen Elizabeth.

But according to Woman’s Day, the royal siblings are worried that this could mean Prince Charles would completely cut whatever money they are receiving from The Firm.

A source told the tabloid that the heir to the throne is not a huge fan of hangers-on. The source also said that Prince Charles sees his nieces as innocent pawns in his dislike for Prince Andrew.

“They’re not required to do any official engagements – which is why they don’t get much funding – but they’re showing Charles how good they could be as full-time working royals by publishing lovely Zooms of themselves talking to sick children in the hospital,” the source said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are not begging Prince Charles not to cut them off financially because they have other sources of income.

Last year it was reported that Prince Charles threw Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie off the payroll.

While speaking with Vanity Fair, royal author and journalist Edward Klein said that Prince Charles would streamline the British monarchy when he becomes king. After all, the heir wants a smaller and more cost-effective monarchy.

“Andrew has made a tremendous effort to keep Beatrice and Eugenie close to the Queen in order to assure their future as fully paid-up members of the Firm, as the Royal Family is called. In addition to their status as royal highnesses, Andrew has always wanted them to have around-the-clock security and the rank of working royals,” he said.

Years ago, reports also swirled that the Duke of York has always been adamant about his daughters becoming full-time royals. And Prince Andrew allegedly sees this as a slight on him if they are not.

“He believes his daughters are being overshadowed by William, Kate, and Harry and it will get worse as Prince George and Princess Charlotte get older,” the source said.

Unfortunately for Prince Andrew, Prince Charles has been calling the shots. And the latter will continue to call the shots when he becomes king.
