Princess Beatrice will, allegedly, be following in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s footsteps by heading to the United States.

According to Heat UK, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are thinking about tying the knot in North America.

“A big celebration in England is out of the question at the moment. Both Beatrice and Edo love America, so they’re looking at New York. Bea has her heart set on an outdoor venue with a few close friends and family [small weddings are now allowed in NY],” the source said.

The insider also said that Princess Beatrice and Mozzi will still have a celebration in England. But since they want to get married now, they might consider holding the ceremony in the Big Apple.

Princess Beatrice was supposed to wed her boyfriend earlier this year but the ceremony was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. They released a statement shortly after saying that their wedding will be postponed until further notice.

According to the source, if Princess Beatrice and Mozzi’s wedding will push through in the United States, the members of the royal family might not be happy.

“This was meant to be a national event, a distraction from recent royal scandals, including that of her father Prince Andrew. This will cause a stir. But Bea says it’ll take the pressure off trying to find another day everyone can do and ease concerns about spending taxpayers’ money. It’s a sensitive subject, but Beatrice seems determined,” the source said.

If the couple's wedding will take place in the United States, it is highly likely for Markle and Prince Harry to be there. The Sussexes have been staying in Beverly Hills since March.

As of late, Princess Beatrice hasn’t made any announcement about holding her wedding in the United States. It is also important to note that while small weddings are allowed in New York, there are still travel restrictions in the country.

As such, Princess Beatrice and Mozzi cannot travel freely between the United Kingdom and the United States for their safety and the safety of other people.

Meanwhile, there were also claims that the couple could tie the knot in Italy since Mozzi has ties there. Unfortunately, this still hasn’t happened because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In May, a source told The Sun that even though there are only 150 guests at their royal wedding, this is still very risky. And the number of guests at the reception is estimated at 300.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi are quarantining together in London.
