After Yamato’s shocking reveal, fans want to know more about the story. However, One Piece chapter 985 is delayed.

According to the latest scheduled on Viz, One Piece chapter 985 is not coming out on Sunday, July 12. The manga remains on a one-week break. The magazine has not yet revealed a reason for the hiatus. However, it is common practice in the manga industry to take breaks and not release any chapters.

Now, One Piece chapter 985 will be released on Sunday, July 19.

In the previous chapter, titled My Bible, Page One and Ulti try to snap out after the attack. Page One asks other pirates to get a doctor. He also tells the pirates to go after Yamato.

One of the pirates asks about Page One, who took a hit from Luffy. Page One informs them that Luffy almost dislocated his jaw and he is annoyed.

Meanwhile, Ulti wakes up and thrashes the medical team. Page One asks her to lie down and recover. He assures her that he will get Yamato as he used Master Kaido’s Thunder Bagua.

In One Piece chapter 985, a pirate informs Page One that Yamato and Luffy have stopped. The other pirates wonder how powerful the dinosaurs are, referring to Page One and Ulti.

Elsewhere, at Luffy and Yamato’s location, the duo starts a fight. Yamato tells Luffy that he has no desires to hurt him but latter chooses to ignore and continues with his attacks.

Yamato begs Luffy listens to his side of the story. Luffy tells him that he has five seconds to reveal. However, Yamato is uncomfortable around the Beast Pirates.

He wants them to get to a more private space and continue their conversation. However, Luffy says that he can deal with the pirates. Regardless of Luffy’s assurance, Yamato creates a smokescreen to be safe.

Meanwhile, Page One arrives at the designated spot and the pirates tell him that they lost Luffy and Yamato.

In the meantime, Yamato opens up in front of Luffy and shares his backstory. He reveals that one day he informed his father that he wanted to be like Kozuki Oden, but gets a thrashing in return. Luffy is confused. Yamato adds that he witnessed Oden as this grand samurai but also saw how Kaido and Oden murdered him.

Later, Yamato takes off his mask and unveils his real identity. It is revealed that Yamato is a woman.
