Prince Charles and Prince William will, allegedly, ascend the throne together with Kate Middleton.

The absurd story was published by Woman’s Day a few months ago. The tabloid claimed that Prince Charles and Prince William will make history when they ascend the throne together.

Middleton, on the other hand, will be up there with them because she was allegedly being pushed front and center at an event.

The tabloid also mentioned Prince Andrew’s alleged involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s case. They said that following the controversy, Prince Charles realized that the only way for the monarchy to survive is if he would capitalize on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s popularity.

“Even if that means essentially sharing the crown with them. [He] knows to treat Kate as unofficial queen is the only way forward in PR terms at the moment,” an unnamed source said.

However, Gossip Cop quickly debunked the claims made by the tabloid. They said that it is unlikely for Prince Charles to ascend the throne with Prince William because this doesn’t make much sense.

Following Queen Elizabeth’s death, Prince Charles will ascend the throne. And he will be the only one in the top spot. Prince William will then become his heir. And after Prince Charles dies or abdicates, Prince William will become king.

The order of succession states that Prince Charles is the rightful heir. And he will become king unless he dies before the queen abdicates or passes away. When this happens, Prince William will become the queen’s successor.

Gossip Cop also stressed the fact that the positions of the monarch and the heir apparent are dictated by Parliamentary law and not be the members of the royal family.

It is also important to note that the royal family belongs to a monarchy, not a diarchy or triarchy.

The rumor-debunking site also busted the tabloid for the inaccurate stories they have been publishing about the British crown. Earlier this year, the tabloid pitted Prince Charles and Princess Anne against each other.

A source told the tabloid that Queen Elizabeth wants Princess Anne to be her successor and not Prince Charles. Once again, members of the royal family cannot change the order of succession.

Prince Charles is older than Princess Anne. So, even just based on the order of their birth alone, Prince Charles will rightfully succeed his mother.
