Prince Charles is allegedly refusing to fire his aide, Michael Fawcett because the latter knows all his secrets.

In its Oct. 4 issue, National Enquirer claimed that the public is encouraging Prince Charles to let Fawcett go so that he could clear his name amid claims that Fawcett is selling the knighthoods for a huge sum of money.

Since Prince Charles’ critics want to investigate his involvement in the controversy, it is believed that he is trying to hide behind Fawcett.

“Fawcett has been bounced from two jobs in the royal household, and Charles has been told many times to drop him but can never bring herself to do it. Fawcett is a classic bagman – a fixer. He does the dirty work so Charles doesn’t have to,” the source said.

The insider added that a lot of people are wondering whether the prince is refusing to let Fawcett go because he knows almost everything about the royal family.

During a previous interview, the heir to the throne declared that he can do almost everything without his staff. However, he can’t do much without Fawcett’s help.

“Michael knows almost everything about the royal family. He is closer to Prince Chares than anyone else. He doesn’t just organize the prince’s engagements and clothes. He buys his gifts, things like that. He knows more about the prince than his wife, Mrs. Parker Bowles,” the source said.

Earlier this month, Fawcett decided to step down as the head of The Prince’s Foundation amid claims of misconduct.

According to CNN, Fawcett was accused of using his position to help Saudi businessman Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz get an honorary commander of the most excellent order of the British Empire (CBE) title.

But according to sources, Fawcett offered to give the businessman an honorary title because he made large financial donations to refurbish Prince Charles’ projects.

Mahfouz was reportedly trying to secure multiple honorary titles to bolster his application for British citizenship via that golden visa for the investment program.

Following the allegations, Mahfouz has claimed his innocence and said that he didn’t do anything wrong.

However, The Sunday Times insisted that it’s Fawcett who is at fault because he’s the one that processed the businessman’s application.

As of late, it is still unclear what Prince Charles’ involvement in the scam is. But his critics are insisting that Fawcett wouldn’t do what he did if he didn’t have his boss’s consent.
