Jennifer Aniston recently revealed the real status of her relationship with Brad Pitt.

During a recent interview, the actress said that she and her ex-husband are friends. And there’s no awkwardness between them at all.

However, in its July 19 issue, Us Weekly claimed that there’s more to Aniston and Pitt’s relationship than what the actress is willing to share.

“They have a ‘friends with occasional benefits’ situation going on, which is kind of an open secret among their pals. But that’s not something that they’d be willing to share. Plus, they’d hate to push things too far or put too many expectations on each other,” the source said.

The insider added that Aniston and Pitt’s friendship means so much to them. So, they are not rushing into anything. However, this doesn’t mean that there’s no hope for them to reconcile in the coming years.

“There’s always the possibility of a rekindled romance down the line, but for now it’s an under-the-radar deal between two very private and quite shy individuals,” the source said.

However, the tabloid seemingly got it all wrong. For one, it’s not true that Aniston and Pitt are shy individuals. If they are, they wouldn’t be in the business.

Secondly, Aniston already confirmed that she and Pitt are just good friends. So, it’s unlikely for a tabloid to know more about Aniston’s relationship with Pitt than the A-listers themselves.

By the looks of it, the tabloid is just making up stories about Aniston and Pitt because a lot of their fans are still hoping that they would get back together.

However, what everyone seems to be forgetting is that Aniston and Pitt have moved on from each other a long time ago.

Meanwhile, Aniston also made headlines recently made headlines after his ex-boyfriend, Adam Duritz detailed their relationship.

The exes dated in 1995. And according to the Counting Crows frontman, he had no idea who Aniston was then.

Duritz and Aniston met at The Viper Room, a popular club in Los Angeles during the 90s.

“A bunch of my friends lied to me and told me she had a crush on me. Those same friends lied to her and told her I had a crush on her. I honestly had no idea who she was, I had been on the road during all of Friends. I had never seen it, I don't think,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
