Conservationist and television personality Bindi Irwin has given her social media followers another glimpse into her pregnancy journey. After providing her millions of followers with a sonogram photo and video, she now shares a shot of her baby bump.

E! Online reports that the 22-year-old posted a photo of her cradling her baby bump on her Instagram account. Irwin called the image a “bumpdate” and expressed her appreciation for the support that her followers have given her.

The television personality also remarked that her “wildlife warrior” was probably now the size of a shingleback lizard since she is already in the 26th week of her pregnancy. Irwin also posted a photo of her holding a shingleback lizard to give her followers an idea of the size.

Of course, Irwin’s 4.1 million followers were very supportive in the comments section of the post, with comments calling Irwin beautiful or radiant or expressing excitement for the 22-year-old.

As pointed out by the Daily Mail, Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell had earlier shared a video of her getting an ultrasound of her belly so that her followers could see an image of their unborn child.

Irwin expressed her excitement for her child in the video, saying that she and Powell’s child was so beautiful. Powell, for his part, pointed out their child’s heartbeat and remarked that it was “very active.”

The video came after Bindi had earlier shared a photo of her and Powell sharing a sonogram image of her child on her Instagram account. At the time, their child was about the size of a hummingbird, according to Irwin.

Irwin also added in the caption to the image that the animals in the Irwin family’s Australia Zoo were as excited as they were for the birth of their child. She also expressed her plan to involve her child in conservation work and continue the legacy of her late father, Steve Irwin.

The young couple first announced the news of the pregnancy back in August, when Irwin was only a few weeks into her pregnancy. She said that she wanted her social media followers to know about her child even if it was still early into her pregnancy.

In his post for the pregnancy announcement, Powell expressed his confidence that Irwin would be a wonderful mother to their child. He also described the pregnancy as the “highlight of his life.”

Irwin and Powell were married back in March of this year. The wedding was a small affair that had Irwin’s 16-year-old brother Robert walking her down the aisle. No guests were present at the ceremony as Australia was set to go on a coronavirus-induced lockdown at the time.
