Since getting married and announcing her pregnancy, Bindi Irwin has kept her millions of social media followers updated on what is going on in her pregnancy journey. Her latest update shows what her baby looks like now.

Page Six reports that Irwin’s latest post on Instagram shows her and husband Chandler Powell cradling a koala and a joey while she proudly displays a sonogram showing the current state of her “Wildlife Warrior.”

In the caption to the photo, Irwin said that the young animals that their zoo cares for are just as excited about the arrival of her own child. She also revealed that the size of her child is now comparable to that of a hummingbird.

Irwin also shared that she and Powell would continue the work that her father Steve was famous for and help their child grow up aware and involved in their conservation work. She said that her child would protect the planet and appreciate the beauty of wildlife.

Of course, Irwin’s social media followers are happy for her. The Mirror has collated some of the comments, such as from Irwin’s actress friend Emma Perry who called the baby blessed for having Irwin and Powell as parents.

Other comments range from people saying that the baby was the best thing to happen in 2020 to commenting that the baby would be so loved by the couple.

The willingness to share may be a precursor to even more openness for Irwin. It had earlier been reported that the couple could film her journey for a pregnancy special and ultimately earn millions in the process.

A reality show is supposedly in the works that would follow Irwin during and after the pregnancy, with the goal of getting it into syndication. Irwin doing so would not be so surprising as she has been on television ever since she was a girl thanks to her father.

Irwin and Powell first announced their pregnancy early in August of this year through an Instagram post. Irwin revealed she wanted to tell her followers about her “Wildlife Warrior” even if she was only in her first trimester.

Powell, for his part, labeled the pregnancy as the “highlight of his life.” He also expressed his belief that Irwin would be a great mother to their child. Also happy about the news was Terri Irwin, Bindi’s mother.

While the baby is set to arrive in 2021, it might possibly be born into a world that would still be grappling with the global coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic shows no signs of slowing down, as shown by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 dashboard for Sept. 13.

According to the WHO, there are now 28,637,952 confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide. The number of people that have died from COVID-19 is now at 917,417.
