It may not be the baby update they were looking for, but still, fans of Bindi Irwin were nevertheless treated to a hilarious image as the younger Irwin posted a photo of herself with her mother Terri on her Instagram account.

The Daily Mail reports that the 22-year-old mother-to-be posted a photo with her mother showing them struggling against a strong breeze as it tried to blow their caps away. The image was accompanied by a picture of the two looking poised and composed.

In the captions, the younger Irwin described it as a moment that contrasted what the reality is and what people see on Instagram. As it turns out, the moment was unexpected and unplanned, as neither one of them expected the wind to blow their caps off at the same time. The 22-year-old also expressed her wish to have more moments like this with her mom in the future.

It is a slight departure from the updates on her pregnancy journey that fans might have gotten accustomed to with regards to her Instagram page. Previously, the younger Irwin had shared a sonogram photo of her baby with her Instagram followers.

Besides sharing that the animals in the Irwin family-run Australia Zoo were just as eager to meet her baby, Irwin also said that she and her husband, 24-year-old Chandler Powell, are looking to involve their child in the conservation work that the Irwin family is known for.

New Idea also reports that planning their child’s role in their conservation work isn’t the only thing Irwin and Powell are busy with. The couple is, reportedly, still deciding on who will be the godparent to their unborn child.

Among the possible candidates are Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, famous singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, and hosts Lisa Wilkinson and Rove McManus. Crowe, in particular, has a close relationship with the family.

According to the media outlet, Crowe has become a surrogate father figure to the Irwin siblings Bindi and Robert ever since the death of their father Steve in 2006. Crowe was also a friend to the elder Irwin when he was still alive and is still a friend to Terri Irwin, Steve’s widow.

Whoever the godparent ends up being, the new addition to the Irwin family will probably be born in a world that is still dealing with the global coronavirus pandemic. Despite the promise of a vaccine, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 dashboard for Dec. 13 shows it is not slowing down.

According to the WHO, there are now 70,461,926 confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide. The number of people that have died from COVID-19 is now at 1,599,704.
