Elves are coming back together! Yes, the cast of Elf is reuniting, including John Lithgow, Edward Asner, Mary Steenburgen, Bob Newhart, Zooey Deschanel, and of course, beloved Will Ferrell. The original cast of the 2003's family comedy will appear together virtually for a table read.

The event will take place live and the classic Christmas movie's cast is all set to support the upcoming Senate's election. Yes, the cast members are supporting Georgia Democrats and encouraging fans to go out and vote during the elections.

The table read is going to be hosted on Dec. 13 by comedian Ashley Nicole Black. Besides cast members, Pod Save America's Jon Favreau, Matt Walsh, Busy Philipps, Ed Helms, Danny Woodburn, Kyle Gass, Andy Richter, and Amy Sedaris will also get featured in the event.

The 40-year-old actress, who portrayed Jovie's character in the movie, took Twitter on Dec. 9 to inform fans about the reunion. She introduced the hashtag #ElfForGeorgia and shared her excitement for being a part of the event.

Deschanel further said that the 53-year-old comedian and actor would be joining the event along with the rest of the cast and some special guests in the live reading. The funds collected during the event will be supporting the "GA dems."

The actress requoted her own tweet and shared a link for purchasing the tickets. Nicole Black also shared the reunion details through Twitter and said that she has got the best Sunday plans. She further invited all her fans to join the live table read at 4:00 PM ET and shared the donation link.

On the other hand, Ferrell said that he is excited to bring the characters back on the small screen in order to support the critical Senate elections in the state of Georgia. The comedian is thoughtful about the upcoming elections as he is hoping for a positive change.

"We need new leadership in the U.S. Senate, and I'm hoping that Buddy and the rest of the Elf cast can play a small role in delivering that change," he added. This is not the first time actors are reuniting for the cause, as earlier this year, Julia Louis-Dreyfus also reunited with her co-stars of Veep to support the Georgia runoff elections.

Mandel and Louis-Dreyfus revealed a joint statement in which they revealed that the entire cast had way too much fun during the reunion held in October. Fans also noted the similarities between the political show and the real-life incidents.
