Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman have been separated since 2016, but it seems the actress took a while to get over the 42-year-old actor. Yes, the 45-year-old actress revealed how she is trying to get back in the dating zone after divorcing Kopelman.

The actress opened up on her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, that she has made a gesture towards someone without having any expectation. The Ever After: A Cinderella Story star disclosed sending a care package for real, and she has no clue what will happen next.

The actress got candid in the interview with her guest for the episode, Ross Mathews. She further said that she is proud to get the icicles off, and she finds the gesture cute enough and romantic.

"Everybody wants a response from their gesture and I think that’s the wrong intention. I was just happy to do something and have the intrigue enough to do so," she added. Amid quarantine, the actress revealed that the best part about dating is to get to know one another.

She explained that it feels great because everyone in the dating zone is forced to do certain things, such as writing letters. Barrymore admitted that letter writing is one of the most romantic ways of communication.

Barrymore jokingly said that no matter if someone is trying to get a boyfriend or a job, start writing letters. The actress further emphasized in the letter-writing and said that the process is beautiful as it involves a lot of patience.

Meanwhile, she shared her humble opinion stating that this beautiful art is lost somewhere. She also reflected on the online dating scenario. She noted that many people are busy swiping left and right, expecting too much at an early stage without getting to know each other.

Barrymore opened up about someone special three months ago as she disclosed not being closed for the business. However, the actress admitted that she used to think that there is no bandwidth in her to deal with romance for the last five years.

The actress told Sunday's Today With Willie Geist a couple of months back that her divorce was really difficult as it took her five years to get hindsight, perspective, articulation, and strength. Besides that, the actress spoke about reuniting with Adam Sandler once again for a movie. In fact, the duo recently earned MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time's Dynamic Duo Award.
