Every divorce involves a separation of assets and a discussion on support, and Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock’s divorce is no different. As per reports, Blackstock is asking for spousal support that could amount to millions annually.

People reports that the 43-year-old music manager is asking the 38-year-old Clarkson for monthly spousal and child support amounting to $436,000. Broken down, the spousal support Blackstock is asking for is $301,000 monthly, while the monthly child support he is asking for is $135,000.

Quoting a source, People says that the request for spousal and child support is on top of Blackstock’s request that Clarkson pays for his attorney’s fees. With seven lawyers representing him, the source says Blackstock is asking Clarkson to pay him $2 million.

Should Blackstock insist on his request for support and the court sides with him, Clarkson might end up having to pay him $5.2 million per year.

While the issue of support is still being argued in court, Clarkson already has won a victory over Blackstock with regards to custody. As reported by the Daily Mail, a Los Angeles judge has ruled that primary physical custody of Clarkson and Blackstock’s children -- River Rose and Remington Alexander -- shall be with Clarkson.

Court documents said the decision was made to ensure that the children find “stability and continuity.” The documents also pointed out that co-parenting has become harder for Clarkson and Blackstock due to trust issues that have resulted in increased conflict between the two.

While Clarkson will have primary physical custody, the former couple will still share physical and legal custody. Blackstock will be allowed visits to the children in California. He had initially intended for the children to live with him in Montana.

The Clarkson-Blackstock divorce is not the only one whose details are being shared in the media. Just last month, reality star Erika Jayne revealed in court filings that she is seeking spousal support from her former husband, lawyer Tom Girardi.

Jayne is also asking her lawyers to see if she has claims to any of the properties that she and Girardi share.

Former husband and wife Clark Gregg and Jennifer Grey have also revealed the terms of their divorce settlement, with Grey receiving 100 percent of the earnings to Dirty Dancing as well Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights.

Grey will also be getting 50 percent of Gregg’s earning from his most famous role, that of Agent Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gregg has played Agent Coulson in movies like Captain Marvel, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, and the Avengers series.
