Alex Trebek has been one of the most inspiring personalities on television. The longest-running game show host died after battling pancreatic cancer on Nov. 8. The late Jeopardy! host recorded a couple of episodes in advance that will be aired till Christmas.

Recently, on the day of Thanksgiving, the network shared a pre-recorded video clip of Trebek that featured a message for America. The host addressed the ongoing pandemic in his message and said that the world, including America, is going through a crisis, and that gives everyone the opportunity to be thankful more than ever.

The 80-year-old host wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving and noted that there are many people during the crisis extending their resources to help others. Moreover, he believed that this time is going to make society better for the upcoming future.

The game show's Twitter account shared the video clip and captioned it as the highest thing on their list they are thankful for is the message by Trebek. The host was in the fourth stage of cancer when he died. However, the host was surrounded by his family and passed away peacefully.

Trebek has hosted the same game show since 1984 and garnered seven Emmys in his honor. Although it wasn't the only game show, he hosted. Trebek was a part of Concentration, High Rollers, and The Wizard of Odds.

The ABC network announced Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time earlier this year featured the show's top three winners, James Holzhauer, Brad Rutter, and Ken Jennings. Since the news broke about his death, social media users, including celebrities, couldn't hold themselves back from sharing the condolences and their experiences with the legendary host.

Ryan Seacrest revealed how his career decision was impacted because of Trebek. He disclosed that he was taken to the late host's game show the first time he stepped into New York City, and since then, he got inspired. The 45-year-old host recalled that he used to play the game with him every evening through television.

"I remember going to the set to watch him tape a show before I started my TV career. He was a big influence and one of a kind," Seacrest wrote on his Instagram. The network announced that the show would resume with new rotating hosts, and the production will start on Nov. 30. Mike Richards, the show's executive producer, said that Trebek always wanted the game show to move on after him.
