Jennifer Lopez has opened up about her love for the late legendary singer Selena Quintanilla. The Queen of Tejano music died back in 1995, and a biopic based on her life was released in 1997, Selena, in which Lopez portrayed the singer.

However, the 51-year-old actress and singer couldn't hold back her excitement after learning that a new Netflix series is going to be launched based on Quintanilla. The multi-talented star revealed that she is waiting for the new generation to know the iconic singer through Selena: The Series.

Lopez's video clip was posted on the official account of Selena Netflix on Instagram, in which she disclosed how important Quintanilla was in her career. She began the clip informing the viewers about the upcoming series on Netflix and then admitted that portraying the lead in her biopic was a milestone in her professional life.

She further revealed that she is extremely excited to watch Christian Serratos taking over the role as the trailer looks fantastic. The mother of two noted that this would be a great way to let the new generation learn about the iconic singer.

The actress recently shared pictures of her bare body after the latest photoshoot on Nov. 25 through social media. The pictures were clicked to support the beauty brand of the actress that will launch next year. Apart from the photos, Lopez also shared a video glimpse from the photoshoot session shot by Marcus Piggott and Mert Alas.

She captioned the post with the #NewMusic hashtag and tagged both the photographers. In the latest photoshoot, the actress kept only her engagement ring given by her fiance, Alex Rodriguez. While her JLo Beauty line will be available from Jan. 1, consumers are allowed to sign up for the products from Dec. 8 onwards.

The star has been under the fire for ripping off Beyonce's look. Yes, Lopez went on the American Music Awards stage to perform on Nov. 22, but things didn't go well with the fans. The actress was accused of wearing a similar outfit, including the props that Beyonce performed, Drunk in Love, during the Grammy Awards in 2014.

While many fans and followers noted that the chair, lighting, and performance looked similar, others straight away called out Lopez for "copying" Beyonce seemingly. However, earlier, the actress had celebrated Selena as it completed 23 years.

"I can’t believe it’s been 23 years since this incredible movie came out and 25 years since her passing," Lopez said.
