Royal birthdays are usually associated with gun salutes, but the queen didn't want to permit these ceremonies to take place amid the pandemic. She turned 94 on Tuesday, but the occasion wasn't marked with massive fanfare as usual.

Prince Louis turns two years old today but the family didn't announce their plans. E! and Hello! reported that they will be celebrating Louis' birthday privately at their Anmer Hall country home. Kate and her husband Prince William are reportedly socially isolating at their Anmer Hall country home with their kids Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte, and Prince George.

The royal family had planned a bigger celebration, but the coronavirus pandemic left them with no choice but to cancel it. Nevertheless, Prince William and Kate released recently captured photos of Prince Louis, showing the adorable prince painting a colorful picture of rainbows.

The pictures of Prince Louis have become a symbol of hope in the country during this unprecedented crisis. The five photos of Prince Louis show William and Kate's youngest kid with his hands covered in paint as he makes a rainbow poster, similar to the artwork made by children across Britain and placed on the windows of their homes.

The aforesaid photos were captured by Kate at their family home in eastern England, where she is living with her husband and children during the coronavirus lockdown, Kensington Palace announced. Fifth in line to the throne, Prince Louis has a brother Prince George, 6, and a sister, Princess Charlotte, who is four-year-old.

These photos were shared on Kensington Palace's official Twitter account with a caption that indicated they have been taken by Kate. As expected, the post was flooded with Birthday wishes for the adorable prince. Twitterverse was excited to see these adorable pictures, including the painted face photo that had garnered 7,400 likes at the time of writing.

"I expect the same amount of photos on the birthday of Princess Charlotte and Prince George. Prince Louis is real cute. #PrinceLouis #RoyalFamily," one Twitter user said. "Happy Birthday Prince Louis, hope your having alot of fun with your family . Soon you will get to be with your grandad," Geonelle Martin stated. "Sooo cute, you can tell his Grandad loves him a lot," another netizen wrote.

A video released last month, show Kate and William's children participating in nationwide applause of thanks to Britain's healthcare workers. Earlier this week, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed that they have been homeschooling the kids, but didn't let them take a break during the Easter holidays.

While talking to BBC TV, Kate said she felt very mean for not allowing her children to have a break during the holidays. While reports about Louis’ big birthday party getting called off were doing the rounds online, a source told Us that the family will just be do something smaller with immediate family only.

They planned to take full advantage of their vast property, the source explained. Depending on weather conditions, William plans to cook some chicken and burgers on BBQ and play football, chase, hide and seek, and other outdoor sports as a family.

There are no prizes for guessing, Louis will have a cake too, the source added. The prince was reportedly so excited about his upcoming birthday that he kept singing Happy Birthday to himself.
