Prince Charles, allegedly, chose Prince William over Prince Harry by having the latter’s bear removed from the royal family’s gift shop.

According to New Idea, the decision to no longer sell a Prince Harry teddy bear this year and just leave Prince William and Prince Louis bears on sale is a deliberate snub for the Duke of Sussex.

The Merrythought William and Louis teddy bears are being sold for $161 each. There used to be a Prince Harry bear but it was taken out from the gift shop shortly after the Duke of Sussex announced his decision to quit The Firm in January.

Prince William and Prince Louis’ bears, reportedly, feature gold embroidered Highgrove emblem on their paws. The bears also have honey-colored eyes and they feature green and burgundy satin bows.

The Duke of Cambridge’s bears were immediately sold out shortly after it was released even though it’s considered to be a bit pricey. There were only 200 pieces of teddy bears since it’s limited edition. And there are, reportedly, 150 Prince Louis bears for sale.

According to the gift shop’s website, the bears come with a presentation box and certificate of authenticity.

However, New Idea also explained why Prince Harry’s teddy bear was removed and they said that it had nothing to do with his decision to quit The Firm.

Last year, the royal family faced backlash for releasing Prince Harry’s bear that was made from Angora goat mohair. As such, the heir to the throne was forced to withdraw the collection amid claims of animal cruelty.

The animal rights charity PETA also reached out to the royal family to voice their concerns about the use of Angora goat mohair. Immediately after, Prince Harry’s bears were removed from the Royal Collection Trust, a charity set up by the queen and Prince Charles.

Despite this information being included in the tabloid’s article, New Idea still decided to use a bait and switch headline by saying that Prince Charles snubbed Prince Harry. They also said that the future king chose Prince William over Prince Harry.

But upon closer inspection, this isn’t the case. Prince Charles didn’t choose the Duke of Cambridge over the Duke of Sussex. And he didn’t also snub his youngest son. After all, the decision to get rid of the teddy bears was due to concerns over animal cruelty and not due to Megxit.
