Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been talking about the Black Lives Movement throughout the past couple of days.

But according to Joe Little, the managing editor of Majesty magazine, this is something that Prince Harry and Markle wouldn’t have been able to do if they were still in the United Kingdom.

“I think it’s unlikely that they would have commented on this if still based in the UK. But now that they are on the West Coast, the dynamics have changed,” he said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently spoke with the Evening Standard about the Black Lives Matter Movement, as well as Prince Harry’s awakening to the lack of opportunities for people of color since he met his wife.

“I wasn’t aware of so many of the issues and so many of the problems within the UK and also globally as well. I thought I did but I didn’t,” he said.

The interviewer asked Markle about the Black Lives Matter protests. And the Duchess of Sussex acknowledged that the protests have been inflammatory for a lot of people. But there was also something beautiful about it.

“It has been challenging for a lot of people certainly having to make this reckoning of historical significance. That is uncomfortable for people. We recognize that. It is uncomfortable for us,” she said.

Meanwhile, Markle and Prince Harry have agreed to settle with X17 photo agency after they released photos of Archie with Doria Ragland at home.

According to reports, X17 agreed to stop distributing the photos they took of Archie, and they will also surrender all original and copies of the photos. X17 also issued an apology to Prince Harry and Markle and will shoulder part of the couple’s legal fees.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex filed a lawsuit against the photo agency in July after discovering that drones were flown above their home three times a day. In the lawsuit, the couple said that the noise of drones woke their neighbors and even their son up every day.

Prince Harry and Markle also said that the tabloid harassment finally came to a head after they found out that photos of Archie in Malibu were being offered to media outlets. Their son was, reportedly, in the garden and this upset Markle and Prince Harry.
