Meghan Markle was recently accused of taking a swipe at the royal family.

According to New Idea, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the artwork placed on Markle’s fireplace when she made a video call appearance last week.

The Duchess of Sussex celebrated the anniversary of Smart Works and the launch of the Smart Set Capsule Collection. The fashion capsule collection was orchestrated by Prince Harry’s wife to help unemployed women dress appropriately for their job interviews.

“People can say that so much of Smart Works is about the clothes themselves but it’s really. All of that stuff is the exterior but it’s what it does for you on the inside that ends up being the best accessory. It’s the confidence, it’s what is built within, that is the piece that you walk out of that room with and walk into the interview with,” Markle said.

But her fans were quick to notice that there’s an “I love California” artwork hanging on her fireplace. According to the tabloid, they saw this as a subtle swipe at the royal family because Markle wants them to know that she’s home and she couldn’t be happier.

While in the United Kingdom, there were reports that Markle struggled a lot to fit in. She also found it difficult to express herself because of the royal family’s protocols and traditions.

But now that she’s back in the United States, Markle is able to do more things. And since she’s already financially independent from the royal family, she’s also able to venture into a lot of jobs without having to consult with them first.

Meanwhile, Markle also made headlines this week amid reports that she’s pitching a Black Lives Matter documentary for Netflix. She and her husband, reportedly, want to focus on BLM’s founder, Patrisse Cullors.

According to Daily Mail, Cullors has gravely inspired the Suits alum so she, reportedly, pitched the idea to Netflix. However, Markle and Netflix have yet to confirm whether a documentary on Black Lives Matter will push through.

In related news, Markle and Prince Harry will be celebrating the latter’s 36th birthday with a low-key meal at home. According to Vanity Fair, the Duke of Sussex is happier than ever, but he’s also aware that there will still be a lot of challenges ahead.
