Meghan Markle is, allegedly, taking her obsession with Princess Diana to the next level.

According to Woman’s Day, the Duchess of Sussex is planning to release her own documentary centered on her late mother-in-law. But when Prince William found out about her plans, he, allegedly, stopped her dead on her tracks.

“When it was brought to William’s attention, it was very much an ‘over my dead body’ kind of response. After days’ worth of discussions with the queen’s advisers, they are tossing up between offering Meghan a payout more lucrative than the Netflix deal to see if they can’t tempt her away from it. If not, the back up is going down the legal route,” the source said.

The insider claimed that Prince William is currently in talks with his legal team in London. He’s also, allegedly, thinking about getting a US-based lawyer since the ongoing mess with his sister-in-law started.

“A payout would have to be at least $75 million more than the Netflix paycheque to even get her attention, you would think, and Willis knows it will be a tall order to get the queen to part with that much cash,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth was, allegedly, blindsided by Prince Harry and Markle’s multiyear deal with Netflix. After all, the couple didn’t, allegedly, inform Her Majesty about the deal beforehand.

“Before this, Harry was very close to his grandmother – it’s strange that he didn’t think to tell her about his amazing new opportunity. Unless, as William suspects, Harry kept mum because he knows whatever they are plotting won’t be welcome news back home,” the source said.

At the end of the day, Prince William will, reportedly, always protect his mother and his mother’s legacy and memory. And a documentary about the late royal produced Markle seems like a vanity project for the former Hollywood star.

“If he’s smart, he’ll have a team of American lawyers ready to jump on her if she breaches any kind of privacy agreement or uses intellectual letters, diaries, or recordings of Diana, which William could argue technically belong to him as her heir,” the source said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. Markle isn’t producing a Princess Diana documentary by herself.
