The pandemic is taking its toll on the entertainment industry. Multiple major tentpoles have had to shift and adjust their production and release calendars lately and it is likely to go into 2021. The latest one to move in The Fast & Furious’ F9. The release date has been pushed back to spring 2021 – which is disappointing for fans who can’t wait to see Vin Diesel lock horns with John Cena for the first time.

F9 was originally planned to be released in the month of April this year, but due to the regular and horrible gushes of the pandemic, the release date of the latest installment of the wheel-conscious series was pushed by 1 year straight to April 2021.

But, probably it wasn’t very sufficient, so again the date has been reslated for the movie come out on May 28, 2021. However, this time the F9’s taking off is not due to the pandemic, instead, it’s because of Universal’s decision to slip in Daniel Craig’s last Bond movie No Time To Die into F9’s old roost i.e. April.

"No Time To Die" which was initially planned to be released towards the end of this year has now be shifted to April of the next year. Obviously, 2 mega movies in one month would not be preferred, therefore to avoid the clash, the F9 contributors decided to leave the battleground called April towards the end of May.

F9’s powerful star-cast has got fans all psyched-up. Hands down, the installment seems to be packing a good punch in the form of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson joined by the new fearsome enemy John Cena.

As per an official statement released by the filmmakers, No Time to Die will be deferred.

The statement reads: “MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April [2021] in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience.”

'Fast & Furious 9' is one of the most-awaited movies that has been hit by the coronavirus.  As the fears of the virus are gradually dipping and vaccines are on the way,  it seems safe to say that the Memorial Day date may be the final one.

The most talked-about bit of the movie is the absence of The Rock and the entry of his fellow wrestler John Cena who will be pitted against  Vin.
