The first presidential debate has taken Twitter by storm as many celebrities participated through their social media. The competition between Donald Trump and Joe Biden offered a good amount of drama within 90 minutes, which was compared to Love Island by netizens.

However, the stake of this drama had a much bigger stake than a reality TV drama and as a result, many celebrities such as Natasha Rothwell, Mark Ruffalo, Alyssa Milano, Amy Schumer, Joy Behar, Debra Messing, Patton Oswalt, and many more joined in the debate discussion.

The debate went live from a Private University of Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University in Ohio while it was moderated by Chris Wallace, who hosts Fox News Sunday. Trump and Biden debated on various topics such as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, race, economy, Supreme Court, the integrity of the current election scenario, and the violence across the country.

Schumer tweeted about Trump's children present at the debate and said that it seemed they are at a dinner table where a murder mystery is being solved. The debate kicked off with the recent nomination done by Trump of Amy Coney Barrett, who is a federal judge into the Supreme Court.

Trump claimed that the 48-year-old federal judge is "as good as anybody" that has already served in the Supreme Court before. However, Biden said that it is an inappropriate decision to make before the election takes place.

Considering the same, Ruffalo tweeted that people are waiting to appoint someone to the Supreme Court after the elections. "The Public overwhelming want to wait until after the election to appoint another Supreme Court Justice. Especially considering that this President lost the popular vote," he explained.

Milano also took a dig at Trump for getting reassurance by picking someone for the Supreme Court even before elections. The 47-year-old actress further noted that the risk of nomination is women's right to achieve reproductive health care, pollution-free air, voting rights, and healthcare.

The discussion heated up as the topic of debate became health care and Trump brought Bernie Sanders into the dialogue repeatedly while Biden called him out for crosstalk. In fact, Biden called Trump a clown and asked people around if they have any clue what he is doing.

Behar, a 77-year-old comedian tweeted and shared her joy that Biden asked Trump to stay quiet. She further wrote that now the debate is "getting good". Actress Messing also praised Biden for speaking on behalf of everyone else.
