It has been nearly two months since singer August Alsina revealed that he had an affair with Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Now, Pinkett Smith’s daughter Willow is speaking out about the affair that hogged tabloid headlines.

Fox News reports that Willow returned to Red Table Talk, the Facebook Watch talk show that she co-hosts with her mother Pinkett Smith and grandmother Adrienne Banfield-Norris. On the show, Willow said she was proud of how her mother and father dealt with the situation.

The 19-year-old singer said that it touched her heart to see her mother and father talking about the August Alsina situation. She said that the conversation showed that her parents were the real deal and that it was real love.

The conversation Willow is talking about is the July episode of Red Table Talk where Will and Jada Pinkett Smith shared the truth about the August Alsina affair. Titled “Jada Brings Herself to the Table,” the episode featured Jada and Will admitting that the Alsina affair happened during a rough patch in their marriage.

Pinkett Smith said she and Smith were separated and on the way to a divorce when she met Alsina. She then proceeded to call the relationship an “entanglement” and described herself as “in a lot of pain” and “broken” during her time with Alsina.

The episode was a record-breaking one, drawing in 15 million views on the first 24 hours of its release. It easily supplanted the previous record-holder, an episode of Red Table Talk featuring Jordyn Woods detailing her affair with NBA star Tristan Thompson, who also happens to be the father of Khloe Kardashian’s daughter.

In response to the episode, Alsina released a song titled Entanglements as an obvious reference to how Pinkett Smith labeled the relationship. In the song, Alsina claimed that while what he and Pinkett Smith had was not labeled a relationship, “she” was still f---ing with him.

As Entertainment Tonight reports, Pinkett Smith was grateful for her daughter’s support and describer her revelations about her relationship with Alsina as one of her most vulnerable moments. She said that it was a moment where she had no mask on and exposed all her flaws and feelings.

Banfield-Jones, Pinkett Smith’s mother, also praised her for being open about her life and her courage to talk about the deeply personal situation.

Willow also shared that she took lessons from the episode with regards to relationships, such as learning to stand by your partner and holding their hand through difficult situations.
