A great reason for Saturday Night Live fans to celebrate, it’s confirmed that season 46 of their favorite show will launch next month and be will be broadcast live.

According to an announcement made by NBC, the SNL season 46 will debut on Saturday, October 3 at 11:30 p.m. eastern.

Other than that, the broadcasting company offered no further details about anything related to the core of the show such as the musician or the host, themes, or changes due to the pandemic, etc. Even, no information has been divulged about who might be in the cast for this year’s run.

However, the network has said that the show is expected to be returning to the home channel, Studio 8H.

Other popular NBC late-night TV shows have already made their way back to the studio. NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon returned to a  New York studio in the mid of July at 30 Rock. However, tons of pandemic-led changes were evidently observable such as no in-studio audience, the number of staff members could be counted on fingertips, and celebrity interviews conducted via streaming video.

Besides Tonight Show, Late Night Show with Seth Meyers starting airing on the network from 30 Rock earlier this week.

SNL, in general, remains in full swing during the run-up to a presidential election, which will be declining in the month of autumn. During the last presidential election in 2016, Kate McKinnon did the impression of Hillary Clinton, and frequent guest Alec Baldwin played Donald Trump which turned out to be a big hit – viewing ratings touched skies.

Viewers love the impressions and plays based on political leaders and something that depicts the ongoing political situation in the country. It is for that reason that the launch on October 3 is, in fact, very strategic assuring a flying start to the program.

That also implies that fans may get to see Trump and his Democratic rival Joe Biden being played in the show by versatile actors who are experts in getting the laughter out.

Hands down, one of the most popular TV shows in the entertainment history of the country, SNL has promised fun and enjoyment with each of its seasons and part 46 isn’t expected to differ in that sense. All considered, it is set to be a blast one more time.

The real curious matter is the listing of the cast members for the current cycle and that is exactly what impatient fans want to know as soon as possible.
