The latest book, Rage by veteran journalist Bob Woodward centers around 18 interviews with US President Donald Trump. The book reveals the POTUS knew about the challenge that the United States was going to face due to COVID-19 but deliberately chose to downplay the impacts of it.

Bob Woodward has conducted a ton of interviews with Donald Trump, in fact, 18 in a mini period of eight months between December 2019 and July 2020.

Not only interviews with the Head of State, but Rage also incorporates Woodward’s interaction with some of the highest-ranking officials and Trump’s own aides including the US CDC director Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Defense Secretary James Mattis, and former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Woodward has given a detailed glimpse of their impression of the POTUS. The author quotes James Mattis as saying that Donald Trump is nothing but 'dangerous,' 'unfit,' and has 'no moral compass.' The book also presents that Mattis condemns Trump’s stance towards foreign policies. The US CDC director Dr. Fauci, who is the country’s foremost infectious disease expert, has also been quoted to describe Trump as somebody who is a ‘rudderless’ leader and has got the attention very small attention span.

Although post the release of the book, Dr. Fauci immediately issued a statement refuting the claims that he made such comments about the President.

It’s not yet clear if Trump deliberately tried to downplay the cruciality of the COVID threat however, in case, he did so, no reason seems to make any sense.

There is no denying that Trump flipped his stance on COVID multiple numbers of times. Since the get-go of the pandemic, the President seemed to give a message to the public that coronavirus was no bigger threat than common flu via press statements and Twitter. As the raging virus began to show up devastating effects, Trump shifted his opinion to tell that America was buckling up ready to fight the virus that implied that the virus was a real threat.

Trump’s Democratic rival, in conversation with CNN, Joe Biden responded to reports saying that, 'It's disgusting. We learning this on the day that 100 – it turned 190,000 Americans dead, and he knew this? ...I truly don't get it.'

What interesting political experts is the way how the revelations in the Rage will impact Trump’s reboot of the election. Woodward's claims against Trump seem to have a strong force enough to derail Trump's campaign system. How will Trump react?
