Prince Harry and Meghan Markle managed to keep their relationship a secret for six months before the press found out about it.

And now it has been revealed that the person that leaked their relationship has a connection with Prince Andrew and Princess Eugenie.

On Oct. 31, 2016, the news about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship was made public by Sunday Express. And recent reports revealed that Prince Andrew and Princess Eugenie’s staff was the one that leaked the news.

In the book Finding Freedom, authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie shared details regarding the previous leak.

“The Sunday Express was going to run with the story of their relationship - and the tabloid was rumored to have been tipped off by an employee of none other than Eugenie and her father, Prince Andrew,” they said.

According to reports, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie used to have a very close relationship. In fact, they confided in each other about their relationships.

Princess Eugenie was also the one that introduced Prince Harry to his ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas. And the royal cousins were quite similar because they struggled to carve out their identities in the royal family.

“Harry had always confided in his cousin when it came to the women in his life. Not only did he trust her implicitly, but friends say that she gives great advice and has always been "beyond wise" for her years,” the authors said.

Months later, Prince Harry and Markle, reportedly, shared the latter’s pregnancy news to the other members of the royal family at Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

The move didn’t go down well for Princess Eugenie because she felt that Markle stole her thunder on her special day.

In the book The Royals, authors Dylan Howard and Andy Tillet said that Markle embarrassed Prince Harry with her decision to share her pregnancy news at Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding.

“Meghan put her foot down in it when she decided that it would be the ideal moment to announce that she and Harry were expecting their first child. This was a huge social gaffe, even if you were not a royal – stealing the limelight from Eugenie, who was furious, as was her mother, Sarah,” they said.

However, Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry didn’t have a feud because of the pregnancy news and the leaked relationship status. They still have an amicable relationship today.
