The BLUE arc continues after the team battle. Now, the participants prepare for the next challenge in Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 9. The episode is titled The God Tongue’s Despair.

Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 8 starts with the announcement of the team battle. The chefs need to personally register their team members. Moreover, they need to coordinate to win the battle.

Takumi Aldini declares that he has one supporter, his younger brother – Isami Aldini.

The Aldini brothers are getting recognition and it is time the world witnessed this tag team in the battle. However, things become complicated when Don Calma, Takumi’s opponent and an underground chef, uses his powers to kidnap Isami. Meanwhile, the theme of the team battle is creating amuse-bouche through teamwork.

The judges for the World Gourmet Organization round are Dynamis, Historie, and Rantabi. Team Don Calma uses shakers to make the sauce for the dish. Meanwhile, Calma taunts Takumi that he might get disqualified if his team member doesn’t turn up. An amuse-bouche is a tiny dish served before the appetizer.

It is considered as a simple dish but the organizers want it to be complicated and created as a team. Team Don Calma presents a verrine with hundred colors stacked in the small glasses. Calma reminds them that they need to consume the dish in seconds to relish the real flavors.

The judges are impressed and even go on to call the dish perfect. One of the judges says that the team managed to complete the Bookmaster’s task flawlessly. Meanwhile, in the absence of Isami, Soma decides to partner up with Takumi. However, Don Calma calls the Bookmaster to cancel their participation.  

Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 9 is scheduled to hit the airwaves on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020. The episodes are available on Crunchyroll.
