Taylor Swift reached out to her BFF Selena Gomez to support her latest series on HBO Max. Well, this is exactly why celebrity friends are for, to do cameos on the series. It seems Gomez well utilized her celebrity friend to grab some extra eyeballs.

In the latest segment of Selena + Chef, the Folklore singer appeared to check what her friend is doing on the show and that turned out to be the sweetest gift for the fans. The 28-year-old star wanted to learn some recipes from Korean chef Roy Choi.

Once the dish was ready, Gomez connected with Swift through FaceTime to brag about her hard work in the kitchen and show the final outcome. Gomez addressed Swift as "Dude" and said that she wanted to show her something before revealing the dish. Once she showed off the dish, the 30-year-old star tried to figure out what exactly the dish is about.

The chef stepped in the conversation and explained that it is a Korean barbecue, which they have whipped. After learning the technical details of the recipe, Swift asked her longtime friend to send her the recipe as soon as possible otherwise there might be a serious argument.

After she joked about the argument, she told Gomez how much she craves for the dish. The pop singer went on and disclosed her jealousy of the entire cooking show setup and praised Gomez for cooking together with the chef.

Swift encouraged Gomez to go ahead with cooking and make it a hobby as she really enjoys it. She admitted being waiting for Gomez to get hounded with the cooking. At the end of the conversation, both the singers said love you before disconnecting the call.

After the call, Gomez talks to her grandparents and inform about Swift's caring nature. However, the series introduces a new chef every episode who helps her virtually to ensure that the cuisines turn out to be perfect.

While discussing the show, Gomez spoke about the pandemic and how things have changed. The star addressed the challenges she faced throughout her life and yet stayed positive.

"I just really thought this would be something light-hearted because I was getting definitely down. I know that there is a lot going on—and of course, there's more important things going on—but this was an opportunity to make something that could make people smile," the Princess Protection Program star said.
