Billie Eilish performed at the Democratic National Convention and before she performed, there were stirring lines she spoke. Eilish performed recently released My Future at the event for the first time ever.

Eilish addressed President Donald Trump before singing the song and said that she doesn't need to say that everything has turned into a mess. She said how Trump is smashing everything that Americans care about and the country itself.

"We need leaders who will solve problems like climate change and COVID, not deny them. Leaders who will fight against systemic racism and inequality," Eilish said right before the song started. She said that it is essential to vote for a person who will realize the stakes are high.

She urged her audience to vote for someone who understands the values of the country and believes in working with a group of people who shares the same value. She encouraged people to vote against the 74-year-old Trump and go ahead with Joe Biden.

The 18-year-old star stressed that silence is not going to work out in everyone's favor this time. Once the message was delivered successfully, the star went on and performed her new track live along with Finneas O'Connell, her brother.

The 23-year-old O'Connell performed with a guitar as Eilish went on with My Future. Besides that, she also posted a video on her Twitter to motivate her fans for voting. The video clip was accompanied by a link to vote.

Apart from the When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? star there are numerous celebrities who came forward to sign the open letter such as Robert De Niro, Mariah Carey, and Meek Mill. The entertainers asked the Gavin Newsom, California Governor along with the state legislators to ratify bills directs towards police reform.

After George Floyd's tragic death happened because of police brutality that was recorded on camera. Eilish slammed the counter-movements that started against the Black Lives Matter. She took Instagram to write a long message explaining that #BlackLivesMatter is important but that doesn't mean that other lives are not worth it.

She also disclosed that it took her at least a week to figure out a polite way to address the counter-movements. However, alongside Eilish, there are several stars who will perform at the event such as Prince Royce and Jennifer Hudson. The Democratic National Convention also witnesses remarks from former President Barack Obama and VP candidate Sen. Kamala Harris.
