James Corden opened up about filming from the studio with the pandemic. The 41-year-old host filmed The Late Late Show With James Corden over two months from his personal space. However, Corden marked his return on the sets last week.

Corden revealed about the new set on which he is filming at the moment that is designed keeping the safety protocols in mind during the COVID-19 crisis. While the host admitted that it feels odd to follow the new health guidelines along with the precautions, it is great to step out of the house.

“We all get tested twice a week, we all have temperature checks, you are never not sanitizing and you wear a mask all the time. Most of the team [who] make the show are all working remotely on Zoom and stuff. But it does feel nice to leave the house for a second,” Corden told ET.

The pandemic let everyone work from their respective places and even Corden did the same. The host kept filming 10 weeks' episodes isolated in his garage. The father of three said jokingly that he did travel back and forth from his house to his garage but coming to the studio is much better.

The A League of Their Own star admitted that there is a lot of emptiness as he started shooting from the studio. He noted that this empty studio feels similar to filming a documentary for wildlife.

There are several staff members who are essential for the shoot, working from their respective homes. The host pointed out that all the interviews held are done virtually and additionally, there is no audience in the studio.

Corden admitted that the process to build this set was a lengthy procedure and has no idea when guests can visit in person.

Fans' favorite Carpool Karaoke is one of the much-awaited segment. However, Corden and his team is yet to figure out how to make that happen during the pandemic. Although the host said that they have done it dozens of times before and it’s alright to wait.
