The Democratic ticket made its first appearance together on Wednesday and didn't waste a lot of time before slamming Donald Trump for his pipe dream for the country. Joe Biden and Kamala D. Harris kicked off their presidential campaign by unveiling their radically overhauled vision for the United States while prosecuting their case against the president.

In what can be deemed as the most spruce and focused speeches both Biden and Harris have ever given during the presidential campaign, the new running mates demonstrated how they go after the general election. The showed sharp focus, coupled with a slew of other aspects including what they label as the president's inefficiency, integrating and accepting the power women, addressing the climate change, and defending protesters who took to the streets of America in recent months.

While Biden staved off some of the allegations made by Trump, the senator from California took a jab at the president saying, "whining is what Donald Trump does best — better than any president in American history." She went on to accuse him of mishandling the coronavirus pandemic that led to shuttered businesses and millions of deaths.

She encouraged American people to seize on optimism, to laud the immigrant experience, and to dash ahead leaving the past four years of Trump's presidency behind. Noting that the country desperately needs a leader, Harris accused Trump of caring more about himself rather than the people who elected him.

Harris went on to say that Trump makes every challenge the country is facing even harder to solve. Referring to the constitutional shifts in the country such as the pandemic, the shattered economy, and the racial uproar. Just about two hours after the Democratic event wrapped up, Trump made contemptuous fun of Harris’s presidential campaign, while mocking her early takeoff, The Washington Post reported.

Falsely characterizing her recently concluded campaign from the White House briefing room, Trump noted that Harris left angry, and irate, adding that she was more insulting to Biden than anyone else. He pointed out that the Senator has said horrible things about the former vice president in the past, but is all praise for him since she's running to be vice president.

In a perfect example of how the pandemic has affected the campaign, Biden's introduction of Harris as his running mate, and their speeches were greeted with silences. Normally, there would be noisy cheers. They just walked together into an empty high school gymnasium, which is just a few miles away from Biden's home.
