Angelina Jolie feels schools provide protection and has a message for children throughout the world who are left without schooling amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Noted Hollywood actress and humanitarian elaborated on the need for practical assistance so that education can continue for the youths and kids worldwide even amid the ongoing global health crisis. Jolie feels schools offer a shield, as well as, a “lifeline of opportunity” for millions of youth and kids. 

 

The actress opines that classrooms and schools offer protection from adverse circumstances like exploitation and violence. The actress said that it is imperative to look for new ways to make sure that education is continued and easily accessible for young children throughout the world. 

 

Angie sounded optimistic while mentioning that it is possible to provide education for even refugee kids if people come together. For the universe, the Maleficent actress is also a special ambassador for the United Nations refugee agency UNHCR, Daily Mail reports. 

 

It has been estimated that about 1.5 billion kids in over 150 nations are unable to continue their schooling. The figure is massive and alarming as compared to 260 million kids globally before the COVID-19 crisis hit the world. 

 

Meanwhile, Baroness Sugg, a British politician said that it is important to prioritize education while the world tries to recover from the attack of the deadly virus. She said the pandemic is not simply a health crisis but is also an education crisis, particularly for refugee kids. 

 

In other news, reports have it that Angelina Jolie’s divorce proceedings from her former spouse Brad Pitt have slowed down amid the coronavirus outbreak. The 45-year-old actress had filed a divorce petition in 2016 and the things are yet to get finalized due to the ongoing lockdowns. 

 

An insider told Us Weekly that Pitt is meeting his children regularly but matters related to the resolution of legal issues have slowed down. The pandemic has made life difficult for everyone including these celebrity exes. While the former couple has been continuing with regular visits, there has not been much progress and things are yet to get resolved in the court. 

 

The former couple has six children together including three biological and three adopted kids. Pitt has been spotted outside his former wife’s mansion n Los Feliz twice over the last fortnight.

 

This has given rise to hopes that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are better placed with respect to co-parenting their kids as compared to their alleged contentious custody battle in the past.
