Tyra Banks is slated to be announced as the new host of hit dance competition television series Dancing With The Stars. After garnering skyrocketing success as a businesswoman and a supermodel, Banks will now be able to add host to her already impressive portfolio.

Multiple sources within ABC have confirmed to DailyMail that Banks will replace Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron after they were both dropped from the show earlier this week. Aside from making an appearance as the host of the hit show, the 46-year-old businesswoman will be assigned an executive producer role as well.

Banks will be officially announced as the new host on July 15 on Good Morning America, a source told DailyMail. Marking his 15th year with Dancing With The Stars, Bergeron hosted the 28th season of the program. Bergeron took to his Twitter handle on July 14 to announce that the hit show would continue without him.

This was later confirmed by ABC in a statement, which stated that Bergeron and his co-host Andrews will not be returning to the show. The television personality's representative released a statement earlier this week, stating that Bergeron’s exit from the show was channel's decision, and explained that ABC opted not to pick Tom's option, but are going in a different direction.

In his tweet, the popular comedian and actor revealed that he only recently learned that he was dismissed from the show. He described his incredible 15-year run as the most unexpected gift of his career. The 65-year-old television personality expressed gratitude for the lifelong friendships he made on the show and jokingly said he had no idea what he was supposed to do with all those glitter masks he had.

Bergeron refrained from writing a lengthy message, but when a fan asked if he plans to go to the show as a contestant now, he replied no. Quote-tweeting Randy Rainbow, who wrote "I'll be right over," Bergeron pointed out that the plus side of not being associated with the show anymore is that he is free for their socially distanced lunch.

After learning that she and Bergeron will no longer host the show for the next season, Andrews opened up for the first time on July 14. The 42-year-old television personality posted a grateful statement, accompanied by two photos with Bergeron to her Instagram account.

She thanked ABC and the entire cast and crew of Dancing with the Stars, who were like a family for 6 seasons. Andrews noted that those years wouldn't be as memorable without her host Bergeron, the talented dancers, and witty judges.
