Queen Elizabeth has reportedly forgiven Meghan Markle and Prince Harry because she’s not one to hold grudges.

While speaking with Woman UK, royal author Ingrid Seward said that the queen is very forgiving. The monarch also has the tendency to care for those that feel alienated and ostracized from the fold.

This is why for Seward, it is unlikely that the queen dislikes Markle. And the monarch isn’t also questioning her and Prince Harry’s decision to quit their roles as senior working royals for The Firm.

“She understands how difficult it is for outsiders, especially one with another life and marriage behind her. If they wanted to come back – which they don’t – she would welcome them,” she said.

Seward also noted the fact that the queen has witnessed some of the biggest blows in the royal family. For instance, she was around when Prince Charles and Princess Diana got divorced.

The queen was also the reigning monarch when the reports revealed that Prince Charles cheated on Princess Diana with Camilla Parker Bowles.

Her Majesty also had to deal with the end of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s marriage. But despite all the struggles, she was able to stay strong for the monarchy and her family.

“The one thing that has really carried the queen through her long life is her Christianity and her deep religious beliefs, and one of the Christian teachings is forgiveness,” Seward said.

Meanwhile, royal expert David Starkey previously said that the queen likes Markle. And one of the most obvious indications that she adores her was when she made Markle and Prince Harry ambassadors for the Commonwealth.

However, the Duchess of Sussex has allegedly been complaining about the queen not protecting or defending her in public amid the racism and criticisms that she received.

In related news, Closer USA claimed that the queen encouraged Kate Middleton to reach out to Markle via phone so that they could patch things up.

An unnamed source said that it was also the queen that tried to mend the fences between Prince William and Prince Harry and succeeded. Since the queen won’t be around for much longer, she allegedly wanted to see the royal siblings on good terms before anything happens to her.

Prince William, Prince Harry, Middleton, and Markle allegedly got into a feud before the Sussexes tied the knot in 2018. However, they have never confirmed or denied the reports.
