British royal Princess Beatrice marked an extraordinary moment in style at a grand royal event in Jordan earlier this week. Donning an iconic family heirloom, the York Tiara, the 34-year-old princess captivated onlookers during her second-ever public appearance with a tiara.

Princess Beatrice, alongside her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was in Jordan to celebrate the opulent royal wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa. People magazine obtained exclusive photos from the grand evening banquet at Al Husseiniya Palace, where Princess Beatrice wore her captivating tiara to congratulate the royal couple and their parents.

The York Tiara, adorned by Princess Beatrice, is a cherished piece of the family's jewellery collection. Its timeless elegance perfectly accented her pink gown designed by Reem Acra, which featured gold motifs and stylish flared sleeves.

Sarah Ferguson, Beatrice's mother and the Duchess of York, received the York Tiara as a gift from Queen Elizabeth. This iconic piece first captured public attention when Sarah wore it for her wedding to Prince Andrew in 1986 and subsequently at numerous white-tie events.

Making its public debut on Princess Beatrice at the royal wedding in Jordan, the York Tiara sparkled with historical significance and family tradition.

Before her latest tiara moment, Princess Beatrice had first worn a tiara on her wedding day, a tradition shared by many women in the British royal family. Queen Mary's diamond fringe tiara was her choice for her 2020 nuptials, a piece also worn by Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Anne on their respective wedding days. "The Queen saved this grand tiara specifically for Beatrice. It was always reserved for her as they are exceptionally close," a source confided to People, describing it as "arguably the most sentimental [piece] lent from the Queen yet."

Royal tiara traditions also extend to Princess Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, who wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara at her own 2018 wedding.

The Jordan royal wedding saw the attendance of other high-profile British royals, including Princess Beatrice's cousin Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton. Middleton shone at the reception in Queen Mary's Lover's Knot tiara and a sequin-embellished pink gown by her preferred designer, Jenny Packham, according to People. Completing her ensemble with the Royal Family Order yellow ribbon and brooch and a blue sash and Maltese cross badge from the Royal Victorian Order, Middleton added a touch of sparkle with Greville Chandelier earrings.
