In a startling development, Gal Luft, a former colonel in the Israeli Defense Force and a key witness in the House Oversight Committee's investigation into allegations of corruption within the Biden family, has surfaced. Speaking to The Post from an undisclosed location, Luft, who has been living incognito since his disappearance from Cyprus last month, vehemently denies all charges laid against him.

While on bail in Cyprus, Luft faced extradition to the U.S. on seven charges, including alleged violations of the Arms Export Control Act and the Foreign Agents Registration Act, along with an accusation of providing false information. He was accused of planning to broker deals involving Chinese products for the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, and Libya.

Luft counters these charges, arguing he has been forced to live on the run due to what he perceives as a politically motivated campaign by the U.S. to safeguard President Joe Biden, along with Biden's son Hunter and brother Jim. Luft asserts, "The probability of me receiving an impartial trial in Washington is essentially non-existent," justifying his decision to abscond while on bail.

His mode of escape from Cyprus remains a mystery, his car found deserted near an airport. He defends his actions, arguing that he has been indicted for a so-called 'thought crime', based on an old email exchange with an arms dealer. Luft insists, "The alleged conspiracy concluded there. No further action, no financial transaction, no brokering activity."

In Luft's perspective, there's an ominous correlation between the timing of his extradition order, dated November 1, 2022, and the imminent midterm elections in which Republicans were predicted to seize control of the House and commence investigations into alleged foreign influence on the Biden family.

Prior to his disappearance, House Oversight investigators were poised to interview Luft. He believes the impending Republican control of the House or Senate, and the ensuing questions, subpoenas, and investigations, forced the administration to attempt to discredit him.

Following his arrest in Cyprus, Luft drew attention with a tweet alleging his arrest was politically motivated. "The DOJ is attempting to silence me to safeguard Joe, Jim, and Hunter Biden," he tweeted.

In March 2019, Luft had provided the FBI and DOJ prosecutors with information alleging the Chinese state-controlled energy company CEFC was making payments to Hunter Biden and Jim Biden in exchange for their FBI connections and the use of the Biden name to promote China’s Belt and Road Initiative globally.

Despite the seriousness of these allegations, Luft was arrested in Cyprus and has since been living as a fugitive. His claims demand thorough investigation, but so do the allegations against him. As the case progresses, both sides of the story must be diligently explored to arrive at the truth.
