Meghan Markle, known for her fashion-forward style, received criticism from a royal expert for her choice of Dior outfits while carrying out royal duties. The expert believes Markle may have tried too hard to fit in with the British royal family, leading to some fashion faux pas.

Questioning Meghan Markle's Dior Outfit Choices The Duchess of Sussex was often spotted wearing Dior while fulfilling her royal responsibilities before stepping back with her husband, Prince Harry. However, royal fashion expert Miranda Holder disapproved of Markle's decision to wear the luxury fashion brand.

Holder told Newsweek, "Meghan has opted for Dior on several royal occasions, and I personally feel that she turned to such an elite fashion house in an effort to subconsciously clad herself in 'fashion armor,' attempting to shield herself from the critical gaze of the media and the public."

Holder added, "Despite Meghan's efforts to get it right, her choice of designer was a little too ostentatious for the British royal family, being more akin to Elizabeth Taylor than Queen Elizabeth."

Holder suggested that Markle's alleged misstep in outfit choice was due to her lack of understanding of "complicated British sensibilities."

The expert explained, "It just felt a little bit 'try hard,' but was nonetheless an easy mistake to make for someone that clearly didn't understand the complicated British sensibilities. The outfits were no doubt stunning, but if she had hoped they would help her blend in, they were a wrong decision."

Meghan Markle's Fashion Missteps Cafe Mom compiled a list of fashion faux pas committed by royal family members, with Markle making several, including forgoing pantyhose, reportedly a significant dress code rule for the Queen.

Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter told Insider that "[Wearing nude stockings is] really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires."

Additionally, Markle missed cutting the "X" stitch on the bottom of a new coat, which should have allowed it to flap separately. In another incident, she neglected to remove an outfit's price tag.

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Tonga, observant fans noticed the dress's price tag still attached to the hem. Some joked that she might have planned to return the item after briefly wearing it, potentially recouping $450.

Furthermore, some fans, including Katy Perry, disapproved of how her wedding dress fit, claiming it was not perfect. Markle was also seen wearing a loose-fitting dress at Prince Harry's cousin's wedding, with some suggesting that she was drowning in her Oscar de la Renta dress.
