Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Cardi B, and a myriad of other celebrities have joined the Blackout Tuesday campaign on social media. Their involvement in the aforesaid movement was acknowledged by other participants that are supporting "Black Lives Matter" following the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd.

#TheShowMustBePaused was another hashtag that trended throughout the day, which also referred to #BlackoutTuesday that was initiated by two executives of music Brianna Agyemang and Jamila Thomas being black ladies. They booked a domain with the same hashtag to emphasize the statement they shared during the movement in the response to these groundless deaths of “countless other black citizens at the hands of police.”

Agyemang and Thomas released a statement explaining how they both have individually experienced “long-standing racism and inequality that exists from the board room to the boulevard We will not continue to conduct business as usual without regard for black lives.”

Monday, Jun. 2 was deliberately disrupted because it may lead to a long weekend, and some protesters weren't willing to wait until Friday to make the difference. They also pointed out that is it not difficult to take a reflective, productive, and honest conversation about what actions are required to be taken collectively as a society that will support the black community.

#BlackoutTuesday is just an initial step as per the executives and they will share a plan of action after the day is observed. The movement is currently widespread on social media amid the protests on streets in many cities across the nation supporting the Black Community with "Black Lives Matter" signboards and #JusticeForGeorge in almost every hand.

George Floyd, 46, was killed due to the brutal way of "arrest" by a white officer Derek Chauvin. Footage showing the entire incident is doing the rounds online, showing how Floyd repeatedly says "I can’t breathe" while the officer knelt Floyd’s neck on the ground, ignoring his discomfort and killing him in the process.

After being in pain for almost nine minutes, Floyd died while Chauvin's knee was still on his neck. Police Department of Minneapolis fired Chauvin along with the other three officers present during the scene, who did NOTHING to help Floyd. After three days, Chauvin was charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Floyd is not the first person from the Black Community who died in the United States in the same year there are three more cases that had similar encounters with cops.
