Gwen Stefani Shares Gift Ideas For Blake Shelton’s ‘The Voice’ Exit
Gwen Stefani has revealed the things to get for Blake Shelton as his exit from “The Voice” fastly approaches.
The 53-year-old songstress recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the matter. But, despite having some gift ideas, she admitted in the exchange that even she struggles to come up with one.
Stefani shared that it is “crazy” because “everyone’s coming after me for ideas,” asking her what they should do. She noted that “it’s hard,” considering Shelton already “has everything.”
Nevertheless, the “Sweet Escape” singer told the outlet that she thinks her husband’s “favorite thing would be a bag of corn,” adding that “he would be so thrilled.” She also suggested, “Or fertilizer, or something like that.”
Blake Shelton, who tied the knot with Gwen Stefani in 2021, surprised his fans and followers when he announced his exit from “The Voice.” He made his decision known via a statement earlier in October, according to NBC News.
The 46-year-old country artist stated that he had decided to "step away" from the reality competition show after Season 23. While he did not specify his reasons for his exit, he included in his announcement, which the publication shared in a report at the time, that he had “been wrestling with this for a while.”
Shelton is said to have noted in the same statement that “The Voice” has changed his life “in every way for the better,” adding that “it will always feel like home to me.” He also thanked everyone, including the show’s fans and producers, as well as “writers, musicians, crew, and catering people” before referring to them as “the best.”
Weeks after the announcement, Gwen Stefani shared her thoughts on the matter, telling Entertainment Tonight that she knows Blake Shelton’s exit would not be easy for the fans.
The “Hollaback Girl” singer told the outlet that her husband, whom she deemed “so talented,” has “brought so much joy.” She added that she knows “people just wait around to laugh and watch him on TV” before stating, “so I feel sorry for everybody [that] he’s gonna be gone.”
Even so, Stefani shared in the exchange that she is “just so proud” of the “God’s Country” artist.
Elsewhere in the recent exchange with ET, published Tuesday, Gwen Stefani revealed that she likes to “mess” with Blake Shelton on the current season of “The Voice.”
The songstress told the outlet, “I was definitely pressing when Blake would press, ‘cause I like to mess with him, but I also like to follow his taste.”
