Sherri Shepherd will allegedly do everything in her power to make sure that her talk show would come on top.

A source told National Enquirer that Shepherd wants to make sure that her new talk show will be better than the talk shows of Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson.

“Sherri feels she’s being overlooked because everybody’s talking about Kelly and Jennifer. But she’s convinced she can mop the floor with both of them,” the source said.

Prior to hosting her own talk show, Shepherd first had an opportunity to co-host The View where she was mentored by Barbara Walters.

“Sherri says she really learned it all from Barbara on The View. No one knew how to engage and draw in an audience like her,” the source said.

Shepherd also has the ability to make her viewers laugh because of her background in doing stand-up comedy just like Ellen DeGeneres. So, she thinks she can outdo Clarkson and Hudson, who both had their start in the business as singers.

“She knows Kelly and Jennifer are the talks of TV right now, but Sherri is confident she can beat them once audiences sample her show. Sherri plans to be one part Ellen, one part Sherri and all parts of the new queen. She’s gunning for them,” the source said.

Shepherd will also serve as Wendy Williams’ replacement after The Wendy Williams Show was canceled. The former will be taking over the timeslot of the latter after Williams became involved with a series of controversies.

But even if Shepherd is looking forward to hosting her own talk show, it’s not true that she’s planning to compete with Clarkson and Hudson. There’s no competition between the three.

It’s not also true that Shepherd is out to get Clarkson and Hudson just because she has a long experience hosting talk shows. It’s obvious that the tabloid is just pitting Shepherd against the other talk show hosts.

This is exactly what they did to Shepherd and Williams after the former was asked to take over the latter’s program. There’s no indication that the two women were feuding with each other but the tabloids insisted that this was the case.

But the only thing that Williams said about Shepherd was that she won’t watch her show. She didn’t say that they were at odds with each other.
