Mitsuo Suga wants to meet her ex-girlfriend, Minare Koda in Wave, Listen to Me! episode 9. However, she has no desire to meet him after all these years.

The official preview trailer shows Mitsuo waving at Minare. He tells her that he wants to give her something. Mitsuo gives her 250,000 yen and promises her to pay back by the end of the year. Minare seems confused and asks if he came all the way just to pay her back.

He reveals that there aren’t any girls out there better than her, but Minare doesn’t believe him. He ends up calling her over and this is when Minare loses it.

The official Wave, Listen to Me! episode 9 synopsis states that Mitsuo listens to Minare’s radio broadcast and decides to meet her.

Towards the end of episode 8, which is titled I Can’t Tell You Over The Phone, Minare gets a message from Mitsuo that he wants to meet her.

Meanwhile, in episode 8 of Wave, Listen to Me! Minare tells Mizuho Nanba that she wants to become a nun. Mizuho and Minare have been living together for a while, and she knows how to decipher Minare’s statements.

However, Minare tells her that she is serious and is fed up of what is going on in her life.

Meanwhile, Yoshiki Takarada, the owner of the Voyager restaurant, returns and he shocks everyone. Moreover, he is not alone. He brings along Makie Tachibana’s brother who has been working in the restaurant while Takarada was away.

He asks Makie to quit her job and come with him. Later, Makie tells Chuya Nakahara and his sister that she wants to live away from her brother.

During the episode, Minare speaks to her father as she wants to change her name. However, she wants to know why he named her – Minare.

He tells her that when Yui was pregnant with her, he had three lovers. He assured her that he ended his relationships by the time she was born. However, he decided to use the initials of his lovers and named her – Minare.

Wave, Listen to Me! episode 9 is set to broadcast on Friday, May 29. The episodes will be available for live streaming on Funimation. Currently, episodes of the anime series are available with English subtitles. The installment is titled I Won’t Believe You.
